After experiencing first hand the profound benefits of hypnotherapy following a bereavement I studied with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy, a recognised centre of excellence, to become a hypnotherapist so that I could share this amazing tool with others.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH)
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a therapeutic technique that combines elements of talking therapy with the relaxing state of trance to help you to overcome challenges and achieve your goals.
SFH is a method where a therapist works with you to focus on finding solutions to your problems rather than digging into the past or the causes of those problems. It uses hypnosis to help you enter a relaxed state where your mind is more open to positive suggestions and creative thinking.
So, how does it work?
Talking about Goals:
I will talk to you to ascertain what your goals are and what you’d like to achieve. The focus will very much be on what a positive future looks like for you instead of focusing on the reason you sought hypnotherapy.
Relaxation:
You will be guided into a deep state of relaxation. This state is called trance, and it’s safe and natural.
Positive Suggestions:
While you are relaxed, I will give positive suggestions related to your goal.
Visualisation:
You may be asked to imagine a future where you’ve achieved your goals. This helps your mind see the possibilities and work towards them.

How long are the sessions in duration?
All sessions are one hour long with the exception of smoking cessation which is a single session lasting 2 hours.
How many sessions will I need?
This is dependant on your reason for seeking hypnotherapy. Smoking cessation is a single session lasting 2 hours. Specific phobias can be resolved in 4 sessions. All other reasons for your visit generally take between 8 and 12 sessions to resolve.
Who can avail of this service?
I can see clients of all ages from age 12 upwards.
Can sessions be done online?
Yes. Online therapy is possible so you can stay in the comfort of your own home for the sessions if you wish.
Is it confidential?
Yes, I am fully GDPR compliant and your privacy is of utmost importance to me.
Do I interact with you while in trance?
No, you will be in a deeply relaxed state.
Are there any dangers?
None at all.
Can everyone be hypnotised?
It’s possible for most people to go into a light trance at least and this is sufficient for therapy.
What happens after I contact you?
After you’ve reached me by phone, email or the contact section of this website I will respond, generally within one working day to schedule an Initial Consultation.
What does the Initial Consultation involve?
This one hour session can happen online or in-person. There is no trance in this session.
This is an opportunity for us to meet and for me to get to know your reason for seeking Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. I will provide you with a detailed explanation of how and why the brain works as it does and how hypnotherapy can help to make positive change possible. While our sessions continue I will ask you to listen to a free audio download every night. I will provide this to you after the Initial Consultation.
What happens at the follow-up sessions?
These sessions are one hour long and they give us an opportunity to review the week that has passed between sessions. Trance will make up the second half of the session.
